Fractal Audio VP4 — Virtual Pedalboard Multi-Effects Processor

Legendary Fractal Audio effects. Four powerful effects at your feet.

The Fractal Audio VP4 brings the acclaimed effects processing of the Axe-Fx III into a compact, intuitive floor unit designed to complement your existing guitar rig. With hundreds of professional-quality effects, flexible routing, and straightforward hands-on control, the VP4 gives you access to world-class processing without replacing your favorite amplifier or amp modeler.

Whether you're expanding a traditional pedalboard, upgrading your amplifier's effects loop, or adding premium effects to an existing digital rig, the VP4 delivers exceptional versatility in a compact, road-ready design.

The Axe-Fx III Effects Experience

The VP4 features more than 400 effects based on the award-winning Axe-Fx III platform, covering an extensive range of classic stompbox and studio processing.

Explore overdrives, distortions, compressors, delays, reverbs, choruses, flangers, phasers, pitch effects, wahs, tremolo, EQ, and much more.

With four simultaneous effects available, you can build powerful combinations tailored to your playing style. Create ambient soundscapes, articulate lead tones, atmospheric cleans, or aggressive high-gain setups while keeping your existing amplifier and pedals at the center of your rig.

Designed for Your Existing Rig

Unlike an all-in-one amp modeler, the VP4 focuses on effects processing, making it an excellent addition to almost any guitar setup.

Use it in front of your amplifier for drives, compression, wah, and other preamp effects. Place it in your amplifier's effects loop for delays, reverbs, modulation, and other post-preamp processing.

Its dedicated Four-Cable Method (4CM) support makes it easier to integrate effects before and after your amplifier's preamp, while compatible amp modelers can benefit from the VP4's effects placed before or after their virtual amp stages.

More Than Just Four Effects

Each of the VP4's 104 presets functions as a configurable virtual pedalboard, with four effects blocks and additional preset-level controls for noise gating, EQ, and output levels.

Scenes and Channels allow you to configure different combinations and variations of your effects, while four onboard footswitches provide intuitive control during live performance.

The dedicated tuner, tap tempo, and customizable operating modes help keep essential functions within easy reach.

The VP4 also features an IR Player, allowing you to load and mix impulse responses for speaker cabinet simulation and other creative applications.

Flexible Connectivity and Control

Designed for professional stage and studio use, the VP4 offers stereo-capable analog connections, S/PDIF digital audio, MIDI, USB audio, and two expression pedal or switch inputs.

Its compact steel chassis, high-contrast color display, and intuitive controls make it easy to integrate into a modern pedalboard without unnecessary complexity.

Use the free VP4-Edit software to create and organize presets, adjust effect parameters, manage Scenes, and streamline your workflow from your computer.
